My painting “Blue Monday” was acquired by Metro Arts Nashville and will be on display all this month for the exhibition at Nashville’s Downtown Public Library. Soonafter, you will be able to check out and borrow this original painting, (or one of the many others from the dozens of incredible local artists who are part of this program), take it home and enjoy it, *for free.*📕 All you need is a library card! 📕
This special art lending program is truly unique as it invites any library card holder to check out works of fine, original art from local artists for three months at a time to display in their homes.Many of the works featured in the first phase of the Lending Library are consistently checked out, and many have waiting lists.
I’m obsessed with this project, as I’m always looking for ways to make Art more accessible. I truly believe everyone deserves to find beauty and value in this world, and I absolutely love the library as one of the last great vestiges of public knowledge which is inherently for the good of everyone, regardless of economic status. I’m beyond excited to partner with metro arts and to be part of this program.
